    My favorite travel format is a combination of active exploring, hiking in the mountains enjoying beautiful nature landscapes and city life, new acquaintances with interesting people, fun and dose of inspiration. Usually I plan my vacation, but this time I came to Madeira to visit my friend without any preparation. It was a big luck meeting cool people every day there and become a part of hiking team led by Hendy. I tend to believe - there are no accidents! Two days of hiking together made most memorable moments of this trip: amazing views of the mountains chain, great company and easy-going talks, acroyoga on the summit of Pico Ruivo and countless photo shots of the best spots on this magic island! And cherry on the pie - astonishing sunsets and empty popular touristic trails on the way back, sky full of stars (yep, we were returning in the dark) and very positive atmosphere all along the way! If I get a chance to share any other journey with Hendy, I’ll do that again without thinking, as she is definitely my type of travel mate: strong leader, confident and easy going at the same time, creative and approaches life with curiosity and positive attitude. Thanks for this unforgettable experience!

      My first visit to Madeira was made possible and also made super special thanks to the guiding hands of Hendy, she knows the island like very few people and also knows the most special hikes, stunning viewpoints, great places to visit, best food in town and an array of other interesting experiences there. This also includes night live, which is great in Funchal. I love being in nature, hiking, and reaching mountain tops while having a good time, and this was basically what you're up to with Hendy. We had a great time, connected and created friendships and good memories with amazing like-minded people. I will definitely go back next time I have the chance.

        I wish words could describe the way I still feel about this adventure. If you are in love with nature, if you like the idea of getting out from a busy lifestyle, take a break from a moment, surround yourself with fresh sea breeze, chirping birds, misty forests, breathtaking sunsets and sunrises or simply have the best hike of your life, Madeira is definitely for you, and Hendy is your best tour guide. Everything was amazingly organised and precise; awaiting for us a stunning flat in Funchal facing the ocean, following a welcoming dinner during sunset alongside the coast. Every morning we were awaken by the smell of warm pastries, fresh fruits and juices, getting us ready for the day ahead. Hendy brought us to hike the best peaks of the island such as Pico Ruivo, Ponta de Sao Laurenco, Pico Grande which offered stunning sunrises, views of the mountains and allowed yourself to be surrounded by nature and silence. A beautiful way to unwind and relax. The second day, Hendy organised for us a wild canyoning experience and we all had the best time of your life, walking down and swimming on streams as well as climbing down from cliffs. One of my favourite days was when we visited the natural swimming pools of Porto Moniz, such an amazing place to be with panoramic view over the sea coast and and the rocks. Every evening we were delighted by the lovely atmosphere Funchal has to offer, with local restaurants serving the most delicious fresh and organic food, as well as the best drink you will ever have, Poncha! Everything over exceeded the expectations and I couldn’t have asked for a better company to spend this adventure with, I met new friends along the way who made this adventure even more exciting and fun. A special thanks to Hendy for allowing me to be part of this incredible experience, which I can’t wait to repeat in the future. Her experience, knowledge and passion for what she does cannot be described with words but they can only be lived.

          Even after having been on Madeira for several months already, Hendy still managed to show me some of the most amazing sights this island has to offer. During our hikes I’ve met the most amazing people and made unforgettable memories. It was an incredible experience from start to finish, with some of the highlights including the breathtaking sunset we saw between Pico Arieiro and Pico Ruvio, and the spectacular view and cloud waterfalls at Pico Grande. I recommend everyone to get out there and start their own adventure.

            Hendy Travels Madeira 2023, wow what an incredible experience. From the moment I signed up to the end of the trip I was given all the details I needed and felt confident in Hendy’s agenda and organisation. Even when thrown adverse weather conditions she quickly adapted and offered new options for the group. Exploring Madeira with someone who knew the area was a real bonus and we got to see places that you probably wouldn’t have known about. From the Pico to pico hike to the natural pools to the canyoning all I could continue to say was Wow. If you want to be surrounded by beauty, try something new, meet new people and see sunrises and sunsets like never before I would highly recommend booking a trip. Hendy is an absolute star host and I honestly cannot wait until the next Hendy Travels trip. Thank you for the most incredible experience!!
